WELCOME ! BEAUTIFUL LARGE SUNNY DOUBLE ROOM. Hi I'm Helen and you're very welcome to come and stay. Please message me before booking to double check availability. Thanks!
Private, quiet and a perfect place to switch off after work. The room is a large double in a big bright Edwardian terraced house on a quiet street, close to the city centre and Salford Quays (for the Lowry), with good transport links near by. LGBTQI friendly.
I have had many guests working at both City Centre theatres and the Lowry and the vast majority find it a convenient location with very reasonable taxi fares to get home at night.
The house is in a quiet and friendly multicultural neighbourhood. 8 minutes walk away there's a good real ale bar an Indian and a Tibetan takeaway, and 5 minutes away there's a Tesco and Jamaican, Asian and Polish supermarkets.
The room is a large sunny double at the back of the house and very quiet. Comfy mattress, goose down duvet. Blackout blind. Fresh linen provided fortnightly, towels weekly.
You are welcome to use the main living room (with Big TV ), secluded garden, kitchen/dining room and of course the bathroom. There's on-road parking.
I'm mainly vegetarian so prefer a veggie person or someone who doesn't cook a lot of meat. I'm very keen on keeping the house ship shape, so a tidy person who will clear and clean up straight after using the kitchen and bathroom is preferred. Thanks!
I work part time at home. I'm a musician and have a piano in the dining room which you're free to use. I enjoy meeting new people but also know you'll need your space and privacy and like to spend quite a lot of time on my own.
Often at the allotment in summer, visitors will get plenty of bonus organic veg! I've got a second living room I use for work, so there's plenty of room and we won't get on top of each other! I'm fairly quiet around the house, so if you need to catch up on sleep it won't be a problem.
COVID GUIDANCE.
If either of us tests positive for Covid, then we would let each other know immediately and start social distancing measures within the house. This would involve mask wearing outside the bedrooms, agreeing different times to use the kitchen and bathroom, opening windows when in the house and sanitising communal areas after use. Research seems to show that the Omicron virus dies in the air after half an hour, so we would stagger our use of the communal areas. Please do not hesitate to contact me in advance of making a booking if you would like to discuss any of this.
Heating: (October to March): due to the huge hike in fuel prices and in order to keep guest room rates affordable, the central heating is usually timed to come on mornings and then evenings. If you like, we can discuss specific hours you would like your room to be heated and how we can make that work.
I have a friendly cat, Mac, and would be grateful if you could feed him mornings, if I am away. He will pay back in cuddles! Thanks
