Comfortable room in friendly home (London)
After a hiatus of 7 years, I'm back and very happy to invite you to stay in our lovely south London home in Herne Hill/Dulwich Village area. We're very close to Dulwich, Camberwell and Brixton with great transport links to all parts of central London, plus Wimbledon and Croydon.
I live with my partner Ben and our friendly doggo Fausto (whippet x Italian greyhound). Whilst he is a quiet dog and no trouble, please only consider us if you enjoy dogs.
The house has 3 bedrooms, and 2 bathrooms; one with bath, one with shower.
The room is quiet and comfortable and of good proportions. Venetian blinds as well as lined curtains ensure a nice dark room. There's a short hanging rail, and plenty of shelf space with rattan boxes for drawers. You're welcome to use the desk with screen and full docking station if you need to work .
There are plenty of books for you to peruse, and which you're welcome to borrow.
You can use the kitchen and cooking facilities, washing machine etc. Just let us know if you plan to do any major cooking of an evening, and we'll make sure everything's washed up and ready for you.
As a hosts we're friendly and helpful and happy to show you the ropes in the area or simply ignore you and let you get on with it! Ben works a lot and is barely around so you're less likely to see him.
We are located between 3 overground stations - North Dulwich, Herne Hill and Loughborough Junction. There are good train connections to Victoria (9 mins) and London Bridge (15 mins), Thameslink to Farringdon/St Pancras etc and Overground to Shoreditch/Hackney etc. Nearest tube is Brixton which is 10 mins on the bus. There are also buses to take you quickly into various parts of town including Covent Garden (via Waterloo), Tower Bridge etc. Excellent for Old/Young Vic with door to door bus service throughout the night.
We have a preference for shorter lets of no more than 1 month.
Parking restrictions apply between noon and 2pm weekdays. We can arrange permits at £3.00 daily.
Smokers are welcome, as long as they do so in the garden.

The Host has indicated the following:
Unfortunately the house is not suitable for wheelchair users as bathrooms are on the 1st floor. For people with limited mobility note there are 13 steps to the first floor bathrooms with handrail one side only. We welcome people with other access requirements. Please do let us know in advance if there's anything we can do to help accommodate you.
Child Suitability
The host hasn't yet indicated the child-suitability of these digs.
Certificates and Licensing
Short-Term Let Licence Letting licences are not required for digs in this area at the moment.
Gas Safety
This Host has confirmed they have a valid Gas Safety Certificate. This should be on display at the property as it is a legal requirement.

Susie is really friendly & easy going. The house/room is lovely, clean & well maintained. There is free, on street parking which is great, but also the digs are really well located for good public transport, with a bus stop outside the house which gives easy a... read more ccess to Brixton tube station, or Denmark Hill overground. Also North Dulwich station is under 10 minutes walk away taking you straight to London Bridge.
There are many good reasons to recommend these digs.

What can I say! Suzie is the most perfect host that you could possibly wish for; kind, generous, helpful and truly a lovely person.
Would definitely highly recommend to anyone as the house is so comfortable with a lovely atmosphere. :)))))

One of the best digs I have ever stayed in (and thats nearly 10 years of touring!)
